Florida Primary; What a Mess!
Being a Florida Voter, I HATE what has transpired since South Carolina; Hate it! Romney gets wounded, so he yanks out his wallet, slams Gingrich 7 to 1 money-wise, and we haven’t heard a positive thing since the candidates got here! Not what we needed.
I talk to a lot of people; many are convinced, mostly by the media, that Romney is the only one who can beat Barack. I am not sure that this is true, and I am certainly not casting my vote because someone on Fox thinks Newt or Rick aren’t going to win. I guess what bothers me the most is that this selection process has gotten so ugly.
If Romney can put out ads that are blatantly false, how can we trust him in the White House? Gingrich has had no problem stretching the truth either! I think if Gingrich had Romneys’ money (who does?) Romney would likely trail in the polls right now! How could we hope to get the BEST person to lead the free world if the richest guy wins? Are we to think that the guy next door isn’t smart enough to do what these BOZOS in D.C. do? Of course he is; he just isn’t in a position to raise hundreds of millions of dollars to get a job that pays $400,000 / year!
Four years ago, we nominated a moderate Republican; see what that got us? I am afraid we may be in for more of the same!
The bottom line is, we need some hard-working, honest, intelligent folks who are not afraid to ruffle feathers in D.C. Does anyone really believe that is Mitt Romney? Is he really the guy that will take on Social Security, cut stupid spending, and bring us back from the brink? I WISH I believed he was; after all he is the best looking of the bunch (tic)!
Maybe the young guns; the Paul Ryans, Eric Cantors and Marco Rubios will give enough impetus to whoever we replace BO with, to do the right thing; maybe. I just can’t see Romney, staring at the camera and convincing the American people that his proposals to congress will work, as Reagan did. When Reagan spoke, the people believed him, and Congress followed his advice so they could keep their phony baloney jobs! I just can’t see this working like that.
Is it just me, or do all you folks think Mitt is full of crap as well? He is a bright guy, but I can’t trust him; I wish I could. The only candidate in the race that hasn’t lied is Santorum (maybe Paul as well, but he is the crazy uncle after all!). His views are right in line with conservatives; he would be a great President. It won’t happen; he doesn’t have the CASH!
OK, ok… enough rambling. I have to go to the polls where I am going to vote for the candidate I think will do the best job, not the one the media wants to run against Obama!

The media gave us McCain in ’08 and now they’re saying Romney is the only candidate that can beat Obama in ’12. Nuff said.
I’ve heard several suggestions concerning who has the right to vote in this country. The best one I’ve heard so far goes something like this; paraphrasing here: ” If you don’t pay federal income taxes, you don’t have the right to vote.”
I like that idea, but it doesn’t have any better chance of existence than a $3 bill. Latest figures I’ve heard concerning the percentage of tax payers in the USA state that 40 to 48% of voting age citizens pay absolutely no Federal income tax. Pick the figure that best suits your point of view. Barry goes off half-cocked saying the top 1% don’t pay enough and how that just isn’t fair. Well Barry, what’s so damned fair about 40% of the population paying absolutely no taxes at all???
Once that figure of non tax payers rises above 50%, the United States of America as we’ve known it will cease to exist. And that’s whats frustrating Pete and millions of other Americans such as I. The USA is slowly becoming a nation in which a majority of her citizens will have an entitlement mentality.
The Federal Government has already enslaved up to 40% of it’s citizens by ensuring they remain dependent upon the many subsidies offered. Earn too much money or show too much personal responsibility and you’ll lose your benefits. Oooooh, I don’t want to take a risk. I’ll remain a slave to the Federal Government and do what they tell me to do. In a nutshell, that right there is what scares the bejesus out of D.C. about Gingrich. He won’t cotton to anybody in D.C. and they just can’t have that now can they?
Docility and co-dependence are the fads of these times. Lord help you if you’re independent, creative and honest nowadays. Somehow, honesty, belief in a Creator and hard work have become looked down upon.
Screw PC, I’m finding an original Don’t Tread on Me banner from the 13 colonies and a Stars and Bars flag and putting both of them on my bike. Well maybe not the Stars and Bars all the time. Anybody know where I can find a Don’t Tread on Me banner with the snake? Cuz as far as I’m concerned, Washington D.C. has replaced ol George III as the culprit of Taxation without Representation.
Rant? You bet. But I’ve had about as much as I can stand of the absurdity coming out of Washington D.C. nowadays. From both sides of the political aisle, Republican and Democrat. Heard a figure today that our national debt is now 102% of our GDP. Greece II anyone?
