Debt Talks: More B.S. !

The so-called “Bipartisan Debt Talks”, run by Joe Biden, who couldn’t run a lawn mower, is mostly a joke!

The arguments by the right that they want $1 for every dollar they increase the debt-ceiling is garbage. I offer this example: If the ceiling is raised $2 Trillion, and debts over the next TEN years are reduced $2 Trillion, we are only cutting the budget $200 Billion per year! Sounds like a bunch doesn’t it?

Firstly, the $2 Trillion debt ceiling increase will disappear quickly; not in ten years. Secondly $200 Billion per year doesn’t even resemble the $2+ Trillion per year Obama has increased deficit spending in the last 2 years alone! So the questions are (in no particular order):

WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TRYING TO KID?

IS THERE ANYONE IN WASHINGTON THAT REALLY WANTS TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

Needless to say, the Dems want to increase taxes, and the two sides aren’t even close to the formula I outlined above. How stupid is this? So Cantor and Kyl leave the talks; really makes no difference. Nothing was getting done anyway!

Some time ago, some lawmakers in an unusual moment of clarity discussed rolling the budget back to ‘Pre Moron (read Obama)’ levels. One has to assume these lawmakers have been killed or kidnapped (tic). Why, one could wonder, should we be negotiating using the ridiculous spending levels that has brought us to this brink in the first place?

We should be going back to the Bush budget, which overspent by a mere $400 Billion annually, and start cutting from there. When you look at the $400 Billion number, you can see how stupid a $200 Billion annual reduction really is! Cutting spending by half as much as we overspent in 2008, when we spend MUCH more than that now, is an an insult to the intelligence of the American people!

The footage we see from Athens is likely to be seen in Columbus Ohio very soon if these folks can’t get the message. The public is still barely engaged in the process, but we ARE on the verge of screwing up this country irreversibly!

Not so long ago, I wrote that we should not raise the debt ceiling and that the solution is to pay our debtors first, and apply whatever revenue we have across the board with whatever is left. Simple and mindless; how perfect is that? Since our legislators can’t make tough decisions, let’s make it so they don’t have to think or decide at all!

While Rome is burning, Obama is fiddling! He is about to pull troops from Afghanistan for the express purpose of getting re-elected, and he is visiting factories to talk about how well the economy is doing.

In case you missed it a few weeks ago, B.O. told the crowd at a Jeep factory how the local restaurants wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the workers at the factory. Less than a week later, a diner he named in that speech, that had been in business for decades, closed its’ doors blaming the economy for the decision. YOU CAN”T MAKE THIS STUFF UP!

I don’t know about you, but i couldn’t give a rats butt who gets re-elected and who doesn’t if all of them are brain dead. I don’t want sound bites or any help from Washington. What I am tired of is the clowns we have elected furnishing the current we have to swim upstream against!

Simple formula D.C.; stop spending more than we take in; stop making laws that make it impossible for all of us to make a living; JUST STOP!

Maybe we should take a page out of the Texas State Governments’ book. They meet every two years! I like this idea. We wouldn’t get so many useless laws and regulations. Business could operate without fear of the rules changing every week! Just think about how much extra time Harry Reid would have to enjoy his favorite pastime; Cowboy Poetry?
