Can’t Find the Cuts?

This is getting old, dontcha think? We hear how we don’t know what bills will get paid and which won’t if the debt ceiling isn’t raised. Am I the only one who is concerned that the government is borrowing $.40 of EVERY dollar that it spends? LUDICROUS!

Maybe listening to the President and others about how students may be denied an education or how we have to save this group or that doesn’t bother you, but it MAKES ME SICK! How can we continue to spend 140% of what we take in on taxes and not expect a catastrophe?

I, like most Americans, am all for helping the downtrodden; but to think that this should occur with money we don’t have is stupid! We cannot continue to spend ridiculous amounts on Medicare and Medicaid, that has no relationship to the amounts folks have contributed. An old friend had a line in a song that went…

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride!’.

We MUST find a way to match what we take in to what we spend; we MUST! Raising taxes is NOT a solution; adjusting our spending is! If we get this awful economy turned around (read stay out of the way DC!), we would have more tax revenue without raising taxes. More revenue, we can spend more; less, we must spend less. I didn’t go to Harvard like somebody we know, but this seems like a simple concept!

My advice is to cut the BULLSHIT! Cut spending even if it pisses off some recipients, advance legislation that would insist on a balanced budget, and set spending as a maximum percentage of GDP to control the flow as the economy changes year-to-year! OH MY; sounds like ‘Cut, Cap and Balance’ to me!

The Senate flat refused this GOP plan. They didn’t amend, discuss or offer alternatives; the just killed the bill! How about getting serious?

Obama, and his puppet Reid, are saying they want a debt ceiling increase that lasts until 2013 so the markets will be impressed. Really boys? It has nothing to do with being re-elected, does it?

Again; CUT THE CRAP! Re-election should be illegal! Maybe then we could get our so-called leaders to do their jobs!
