As I watched our hero babble the same old words on Monday, and help the Market tank, it occurred to me why nothing is getting done in this country! We don’t have a leader; we have a President, but NOT a leader!
As I struggled to remain awake as B.O. droned, I heard him say how there were some great proposals, blah, blah, blah. Proposals? How about Plans? How about coming up with ideas and selling them to the folks in Congress.
I have worked for myself for over 30 years. When the Shit hits the fan, my employees don’t give me proposals. I analyze what the problem is, give them direction and the problem gets solved. Do I get my hands dirty? You Bet! But we deal with whatever is thrown and us and I lead my team by offering SOLUTIONS, taking responsibility, and making sure the problems are solved.
Mr. Obama watches, blames and offers NOTHING! Making speeches is not leading; leading is leading.
I remember when Ronald Reagan faced tough challenges. He would make speeches too! He would talk to the People, tell them the problems and offer unique solutions. The public understood. The politicians who wanted to keep their jobs on both sides of the aisle, would come back with whatever Reagan asked for, and progress was made. That is leadership! Can you say ‘Air Traffic Controllers’ or ‘Japanese Memory Chips’? These were tough problems, and Reagan made tough decisions.
Not our boy Barack; or his loyal followers in Congress. No-siree! This group hasn’t offered a budget in almost three years. You want to make a speech, Mr. President? Get on the tube and tell Harry to come up with a budget; or cut Medicare, welfare or any of the other wastes of our tax money! The theory is if you don’t do anything, you can’t be blamed for anything. What a bunch of Crap!
Unfortunately, our President can’t call on any experiences he has had (other than voting ‘Present’) to help him through the tough times; he has none. He hasn’t run anything in his life! He would argue he was dealt a bad hand from Bush. So what! My family and millions of others have been dealt a bad hand from you; you don’t see us on T.V. blaming you! Nope! We have to put food on the table; we Have to solve problems.
If I could borrow 40% of the revenue my company took in without fear of repayment, maybe I wouldn’t make tough decisions, either. I can’t and neither can the rest of the real world. We react to situations in front of us, make decisions and keep ourselves alive, without handouts!
You should try it sometime, B.O. Then maybe you would understand what a terrible mess you made of this country, and why you will be relegated to doing useless things in the private sector, come 2013! Maybe then I would trust you with my Lawn Mower!
