Maybe if we didn’t allow cameras or microphones on the Hill, these dopes would accomplish something! I swear that Harry Reid actually believes the nonsense that comes out of his mouth; he can’t, can he? Nancy Pelosi says that the Christmas Goose is getting fat; WHAT??? The GOP, whose collective hearts may be in the right place, can’t drive cross town without a filibuster; give me a FREAKIN’ BREAK!!!
I believe our government was more effective when a newspaper that was delivered by the Pony Express is how the population got the latest from Washington. Today, our elected officials are more worried about the six o’clock broadcast than the reality of running a country. Being the master of the obvious that I am, I submit to you (did Jesse Jackson copyright this phrase?), that if I ran my company like these toads run the country, I would have been out of business long ago!
Cases in point. The Congress faces the following, in no particular order: Coming up with a budget by this time next week. The payroll tax holiday extension. Wacking Millionaires with higher taxes. And lest we forget, a $15 TRILLION debt that grows at about $4 Billion / day.
Let’s discuss the debt first, if you don’t mind. That daily debt addition, for those on the left that don’t think it is a problem, is over $13 / day, for every single person in America. So here you are getting your morning coffee at ‘FOURBUCKS’, and instead of pulling out a $5 bill, you have to hand over a $20! You got kids and a wife? Make that a $50, just to put your shoes on in the morning!
Maybe you can live with that; it BLOWS me away! Especially since the feds have proven almost every day, that they are anything but good guardians of the money they steal!
For perspective, Solyndra was good for a buck and a half from every warm body in the country. I don’t think we need to be reminded that since half the folks in the country don’t pay taxes, and there are only so many taxpayers in the other half. Based on that, let’s say that Solyndra cost all of us that DO pay about $10 each.
If there was someone at the intersection with a bucket asking for money for Solar Panels, I think I would pass, wouldn’t you? Talk about a Christmas Goose!
On the subject of the payroll tax holiday, the lefties would like the wealthiest among us to give the rest of the country a $1,000/year raise, as the national debt did this year. Never mind that this plan from last year, well intentioned as it was, did nothing to help the economy and STOLE a ton of money from Social Security which, you guessed it, we will all be forced to pay down the road! If that isn’t socialism, I don’t know what is. Why the tax holiday? Is it an election year?
At least the GOP wants to cut spending elsewhere to pay for this STUPIDITY. But Harry is digging in, lest he face cuts in his ‘Cowboy Poetry’ funding. I am sure it will be a dog fight until the eleventh hour as usual.
Here we are burning calories over policies that serve no purpose but getting votes. The Prez is on top of this; he is heading out for a seventeen day vacation. That ought to move this stuff forward, dontcha think?
As far a the budget is concerned, expect our lame legislators to pass some mindless ‘Continuing Resolution’ rather than face facts and come up with a spending plan that starts to slow the behemoth that is Washington D.C.
The Republicans berated the Dems over not passing a budget for three years, but have yet to step up to the plate (Paul Ryan’s plan not withstanding) and force this issue. The Tea Party elected you folks to run the House last year, so…
‘SHUT UP AN DO SOMETHING!’
I have a friend who a year ago was convinced we were headed toward a revolution. I laughed at him! I am not laughing anymore!

Once a cowboy named Bob.
Found how easy it was to rob.
Run for office. Got selected.
Taxed all the minions who got him elected.
Spent as he wished, what can you do.
Cowboy Bob, leftist through and through.
There you go Pete. Cowboy Poetry didn’t cost you a dime.
Cost me two cents.
Well done!
Keystone Pipeline piggy backed with tax cut? Thx. Another nice article.
