Arguably, 
I am as engaged in the national political scene about as much as anybody. Imagine my surprise as I woke up on the couch at midnight last evening. What does that say about our ‘Blatherer-in-Chief’?
B.O. supposedly worked on that speech since August; maybe I feel asleep because I heard all of it since Labor Day?
There is no doubt that our now Lame-Duck president has but one thing in mind; four more years of destruction before he retires to a life of CIA golf ball washers! Based on the rhetoric we heard (or didn’t as in my case) he might want to start calling liberal universities about a tenured position now!
What bothers me most about what this man spews, and what others on the right side of the aisle do as well, is that they believe we are STUPID enough to buy their nonsense! Just because these politicians say something doesn’t mean it is true; quite the contrary! One problem we could solve right now without adding to the debt, is to have our representatives tell the truth. Now that would be refreshing!
So Obama rambled about how the Millionaires have it so good, and Buffet’s secretary (sitting next to the First Lady!) has it so bad. No wonder I fell asleep! The President doesn’t want to hear about how these people he demonizes create jobs; O.K. How bout the folks who had that kind of money and fell victim to the economy he continues to destroy with awful policies? Do you think it would have helped the country if these EX-rich folks were taxed more before they fell on hard times? They risked the money they made, then the real-estate market or the motorcycle market, sucked it up like a vacuum, due to an economy that was ‘NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN’ (sound familiar?).
Now those damn millionaires are as broke as the rest of the country!
In my case, I used to have a bunch more money than I do now, Mr. Sominex (I mean Obama). I put it into my business over these hard years, and there is very little left.
I used to have more employees than I do now. If I keep plugging away, and the federal government gets out of the way, I bet I can resurrect my enterprise and hire more folks. I wonder if I should?
This leader wants to take the money I might make and give to the OWS gang! Maybe I should just get a government job, and the 5 families I support can just fend for themselves, huh Barack? When I retire, the government can give me other peoples money until this whole house of cards falls down around us.
I don’t think I would sign up for that. But understand, the failed policies of this administration, have sucked the life out of many entrepreneurs, making it less likely for them to take chances and grow our economy!
The leader of the free world also rambled about how our corporations are sending jobs overseas. Most of the C.E.O.s that are doing this are on Mr. Obama’s Jobs Council! He figures he should tax those companies; that will bring the jobs back. More brilliant logic brought to you by a Harvard education!
Republicans would like to reduce the tax rate, and encourage companies to keep jobs here. Ever hear the story of the sun and the moon and who could better make the man remove his coat? Maybe you can find a library Mr. President and learn about motivation.
There is no doubt that the president is a very skilled teleprompter guy. Speeches will NOT change the fact that this country is in trouble. I don’t care who is at the helm; if they think more government will solve ANYTHING, they are sorely mistaken!
Big, bold changes that will piss-off many people is what this country needs right now. We need a leader that will force those changes without worrying about being re-elected. I am not sure who this leader should be, but I am VERY sure I know who it shouldn’t be!
