We are about to find out how F****D we really are in this country. Next week, the brilliant people you see here, are going to decide if we will be FORCED to buy health insurance at an ever skyrocketing rate!
There is no doubt these people are very smart, but they are people after all; each with their own views. You may not be able to see them, but Justice Sotomayor (top left, how fitting!), has Pom-Poms behind Thomas and Scalia. While Solicitor General she publicly cheered the Obama health care plan, so when asked about its constitutionality, we probably know were she falls, huh?
Every President appoints justices based on his beliefs, but this decision is going to be a close one! I am not going to go down the list of Justices, but rather talk about why I believe they should strike down the law, and what logic (or lack thereof) they might use to uphold it.
Historically, our government has NEVER forced anybody to buy anything! Sure, if you drive a car you MUST have car insurance; but you are not forced to drive a car. The feds annoy us in many ways, but the fact is, we have the right to choose how we wish to spend the few dollars we have left after they help themselves to what they want.
Obamacare says, ‘You must buy insurance (an approved plan of course)’ and that they will tell the insurance company what they must provide for free, who they can cover, etc. This will surely drive the cost down, won’t it?
The folks on the left who for over 60 years were unable to force this down our throats, claim the ‘Commerce Clause’ of the constitution gives them the right to ‘Mandate’ us into buying insurance. They argue, inaccurately, that since the commerce clause allows them to control commerce across state lines, they can force us to buy insurance. Make sense, right? To whom? I saw some so-called expert on the tube say something like the following…
Do you think something that constitutes 16% of our economy (health care costs) isn’t commerce?
What kind of Cool-aid is he drinking? What he really said was,
Do you think the power grabbers in Washington are gonna let this much power slip through their hands??
As the cowardly Lion said….‘Ain’t it the truth; Ain’t it the truth?’ While I would love to believe that the left is so concerned about our health that they have spent my ENTIRE lifetime working on Socialized medicine; but the truth is the lure of power intoxicates them.
A jerk like me believes that if our friends inside the beltway can tell us to buy insurance, what is next. Nike’s, Chevrolet’s; maybe some product that some politicians holds a majority stake in producing? If forcing us to buy or fining us if we don’t buy ANYTHING is NOT unconstitutional, I want an amendment or a new Constitution. The boats sailed west to avoid Religious persecution and taxation without representation; that pursuit ultimately caused a revolution.
Both of these items are on the agenda next week. Let hope the ‘Supremes’ can sing a happier tune than the King did back then!
My two cents, how ’bout yours?

Hiel Hussein Obama brother. I feel like we live in Bizzaro World. I hear these Dems trying to reconcile this, and other Socialist ideas of the Messiah & I wonder how these educated adults have the audacity to try to sell us on their insane ideas. Obama tells the Dems to vote down the Canadian pipeline & then tries to take credit for the pipeline between Oklahoma & Texas as if it will help our oil situation. What are we going to do, truck the oil from Canada to Oklahoma & then put it through the pipeline? The Chinese are going to get this oil, not us. We have caught this president in so many lies that I cannot believe there are enough stupid people in this country to re-elect this enemy of the working man. I hope we can get the United States back next year. Living in the Obamanation of America is not a pleasant way to live. That’s why I’m going to retire next month.
Keep up the good work brother.
The Truth and the passion are inspiring Joe!!!
